Sponsorships that support creators

A route may receive direct support from a brand or business. The creator arranges and manages that agreement; Rove does not charge or act as intermediary.

Clearly identified advertising

The advertisement appears after access and safety warnings, before exploring the route. It can be an image or a YouTube video, with a persistent card below the map. A linked place is labeled “Sponsored”. This does not certify its quality or route safety.

Video and privacy

Video loads automatically, muted and inline; YouTube may receive connection data. You can choose a static alternative with the same exposure time (5 to 30 seconds). An image allows immediate continuation. You can return to the map without completing the advertisement.

Viewed advertisements are remembered locally by account, route and revision. We store only approximate daily aggregated impressions, completions and clicks for up to 25 months. We do not store personal playback history.

An experimental model

This measure supports route creators. The sponsorship model is experimental and may change, be suspended or withdrawn in the future. It does not guarantee revenue, reach or permanence. Changes will be communicated through applicable terms and policies.

Responsibility and review

The creator is responsible for the agreement, advertising rights and commercial disclosure. Adding, editing or removing content requires review; the creator may pause or end the advertisement, and Rove may suspend it with a recorded reason. Review does not make Rove a party to the commercial agreement.
